The Technology Behind the Ecosystem

Freedom Tablet Operations Ltd. (FTO) provides the technology infrastructure, digital services and operational support that keep the Freedom ecosystem functioning.
Working within IDEA’s technology and licensing framework, FTO supports the systems that connect educational content, devices, deployment partners and ongoing services. Its role begins behind the scenes and continues throughout the life of a deployment.
Technology & Operations
FTO provides the operational technology required to support Freedom Tablet programs, from initial implementation through ongoing use.
Its responsibilities include technology infrastructure, platform operations, hosting and digital services, system administration, software support and the technical services required to maintain deployed programs.
FTO works alongside IDEA, Freedom Tablet International, Freedom Tablet Manufacturing and regional partners to ensure that the technology supporting each deployment remains reliable, secure and scalable.
Supporting EduConnect™
EduConnect™ provides the controlled pathway through which the Freedom ecosystem can manage approved content, software updates and licensed educational resources.
FTO supports the infrastructure and operational services behind these systems, allowing educational programs to evolve over time without requiring children to access the open internet.
This creates an important separation between the child’s learning environment and the technology required to maintain it.
Built for Long-Term Deployment
A successful educational technology program does not end when devices are delivered.
As programs grow, new educational content may be introduced, languages added, curriculum updated and additional communities brought into a deployment. FTO provides the continuing technology and operational support needed to help those systems grow.
Whether supporting a local initiative or a large international deployment, the objective remains the same: technology that works quietly and reliably in the background so educators and learners can concentrate on what matters.
Technology should serve education, not define it.
